DMX started rapping around the latter part of the 1990s. He debuted his debut album The album It's Hot and Hell is Dark on May 19, 1998. He released several albums, like... Then There Was X and the Great Depression Year of the Dog... Redemption of the Beast, Grand Champ. The album, titled...And It was X, was nominated by The Grammy in 2001 for Best Rap Album in 2001. Alongside his music activities, he has also been featured in movies like Lords of the Street Belly Top Five Exit Wounds That Will Never Die Alone The Bleeding Romeo Has to Die Backstage Beyond the Law Lockjaw Rise of the Kulev Serpent and Fast and Fierce Death Race.
