Dua Lipa is an English artist and singer. She was born on August 22 1995, in London United Kingdom. In 2014, following a career as a model and actress, she was signed to Warner Bros Records. She launched her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. The album climbed up to the third position on the U.K. Chart for Albums. Eight singles were released and included Be the Only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked at number 6 within the United States. Lipa is the recipient of Brit Awards 2018 in two categories: British Female Artist, British Breakthrough Act, and British. Dua Lipa was born London on 22 August 1995. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Dua Lipa is Bosnian heritage via her mother's grandmother. Also, her ancestors come from Peja, which is a Kosovo town of Peja. Her grandparents were historians as well. Her siblings are Rina and Gjin. Lipa was musically influenced by her father who also serves as the lead guitarist and singer for The Kosovan band Oda. Her father at home continued to perform music, including original compositions as well as songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa was just five years old when she started singing. The Sylvia Young Theater School was where she first began singing when she turned nine.
